An abrasion resistant, durable anti-soiling coating, such as the particle-polymer coating disclosed in this provisional application, creates a unique value proposition. There are currently no commercially available anti-soiling coatings that are hydrophobic and abrasion resistant. The value of the coating depends on the soiling rate of the local environment. In 2023, the EIA estimates that 237 billion kWh of electricity was produced by solar PV in the USA. If we conservatively estimate that our anti-soiling coating can increase the electrical output of PV by 2%/year, then the value from increased generation would be $620 million/year (assuming an average price of electricity at $0.13/kWh and all panels used our coating).
