The colloidally stabilized IMAC and IAC nanoresins will minimize non-specific adsorption of proteins and antibodies on the surface. The nanoresins will capture only proteins and antibodies for which they are designed to exhibit affinity and selectivity. The protein/antibody capacity and purity will increase due to lower contamination. Optimum performance will be achieved through a compromise between ligand coverage and stabilizer surface density. The fluidodynamic behavior of the nanoresins will change as a result of the stabilization strategies and will improve the usage of the nanoresins in batch format and improve/enable their use in column formats. Sterically spaced GO sheets will provide a uniform spacing between each sheet allowing increased flow rates in the column format.
