IDEA #5HXTT0 Repeated Y-shaped patterns for emitter geolocation using AI and power-based partitioning 24A0001

Abstract: The invention is a method to geolocate an emitter source by consecutive measurements of its signal strength while following Y-shaped patterns. Power based partitioning algorithms such as Voronoi tessellations and AI methods such as evolutionary algorithms are used to compute the shape and the direction of the emitter location prediction. No assumptions are needed regarding emitter source characteristics or transmission features. If there are multiple entities collecting measurements, geolocation precision and convergence improve. • Names of inventors: M. U. Uyar (CUNY), J. Kusyk (CUNY), J. A. Plishka (US Army), H.
