The proposed technology introduces an alternative mode of energy exchange through underlying wireless power transfer (WPT) principles. WPT is an enabling technology that eliminates the physical connection and wiring needed to power, operate, and charge electronic devices. There are several different techniques and capabilities for such systems, however our invention focuses on far-field applications through laser power beaming. Electronics that require continuous power supplication and frequent recharging are limited in mobility by wired connection.
The proposed technology broadens the possibilities for battery-less devices while removing hazardous and inconvenient wiring.
