The present invention relates to imaging systems and devices and, more particularly, to high-dynamic-range image/video synthesis from a low dynamic range image/videos and analytics. Due to the sensor-imposed limitations the dynamic range captured within a single image is very low, for example, wireless cameras have small apertures and sensor pixels, which limits the number of photons they can gather leading to: (1) noisy images in low light conditions; (2) a trade-off between the highlights and the shadows,and (3) image saturation and does not allow quality image capturing of scenes with a wide dynamic range (e.g., dim objects and bright objects). Also, the relationship between perceptually accurate and content-independent dynamic range has not been fully explored.
