The remediation (i.e., cleansing) of industrial water for recycling to the general water supply is critical for the maintenance of an inexpensive, clean and healthy flow of water for human consumption. State of the art methods achieve such cleansing by continuous use of toxic agents.
Clearly, there is a need for methods for removing biological pathogens and other biological materials from industrial water that are environmentally safe and effective.
