IDEA #925L3I Vertical Evaporation Engine. 18A0018

Key Words: Evaporation energy, clean energy, hygroscopic material, rotary engine The invention is a rotary engine driven using energy in the heat of evaporation of water. A humidity differential is applied to generate a moisture-induced extension of cellulose filaments localized in a high RH hood. As discussed in further details later, a cycle of extension and contraction of these filaments allow a wheel to rotate about an axel, which can easily be harvested as electrical energy by applying the known procedure of that conversion. This invention is also a promising alternative compared to other forms of renewable energy as the potential output more than meets the demand of energy. The evaporation-driven rotary engine is able to continuously harvest energy without producing any harmful by-product as a clean source of energy translation. The device makes use of readily available and affordable materials, including the biodegradable filaments, which coupled with its pollution-free energy transformation allows the eventual minimization of carbon footprint to supersede the already minimal one for manufacturing processes. As evident, the purpose of this device is to provide clean, renewable energy utilizing passive processes of energy translation, while its major utility is to help meet energy demand while saving water (discussed in detail later).
