We teach a novel optical method to determine water content in human body based on Near Infrared (NIR) absorption spectra of body tissues. The areas of use of the method are cardiology, military, sports, and everyday life of people. The method can be implemented in a remote, wireless, and in a size and shape of table top or cell phone device.
