IDEA #2U48S0 Nuclear delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs.SEE THIRD PARTY WAIVER DECISION LTR 03-13-2019 IN DOCUMENTS. 15A0037

Chemotherapeutic drugs need to reach the cell's nucleus in order to kill the cancer cell. Herein, we use molecules that are known to result in the trafficking of genetic material (DNA or RNA) to the nucleus for the purpose of chemotherapeutic delivery. These molecules may be cationic polymers like polyethyleneimine, polylysine, polybetaaminoesters or cationic lipids like 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane (DOTAP), or mixtures of these molecules with other molecules that enable nuclear delivery.
