IDEA #1IDVTB PORTABLE SOLAR POWERED WATER DESALINATION / PURIFICATION SYSTEM. 14A0015

Patent #s 10,150,149 & 10/150,150, issued 20181211. Contaminated water (salt, brackish, or otherwise) is placed in an exterior reservoir. This water moves from the exterior reservoir into and through solar collectors for pre-heating. Heated water then flows into a ceramic reservoir. Water contained in the ceramic reservoir is further heated by the solar energy focused on metallic heat diffusers within a stage two reservoir by solar energy passing through a set of fixed lenses contained in framework. This process results in the formation of condensation along the interior of a dome and within a cooling coil. Once this condensations builds up in sufficient amounts it is caused to run down the sides of the interior of the acrylic dome and within the cooling coil, then into the water collection trough. The water continues via gravity to exit the dome, pass through the water filer, and into the potable water containment vessel. The measured yield is more than 20 L/m2-day, five times higher than conventional solar purification processes.
