SmarteRoot is a technology that applied to agricultural crops increases the yield and reduces related costs such as water and agrichemicals. To determine the value of this technology we used several approaches. The first and most reliable is to determine the economic benefit of the technology when applied to agriculture. We did this on a crop basis determining the total global crop production and price to determine total economic value of the crop and then considered the economic benefit if the technology were to be applied globally using improvements in crop yield determined experimentally where available and using average improvements where not.
