AUTOMATIC CLEANING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE WHEELS Abstract The invention relates to an automatic cleaning system for vehicle wheels and a method thereof. The cleaning system includes a cleaning trough (1), a water pump (6), a plurality of high pressure water nozzles for cleaning vehicle wheels and an automatic cleaning control circuit. The cleaning trough (1) and the high pressure water nozzles (22) connect to a water circulating system, the high pressure water nozzles (22) being arranged at both sides of the cleaning trough (1) and directing at the wheels at both sides of the vehicle to be cleaned in the cleaning trough (1) along a plurality of corresponding directions. A vehicle-in-position sensor (32) of the automatic cleaning control circuit collects information on whether or not the vehicle enters into the cleaning trough, and controls the actuator (33) to open or close the water pump (6) and the high pressure nozzles (22) through a microcontroller (31). The cleaning system for vehicle wheels according to the invention can be operated automatically without labor. It has a quick cleaning speed, a simple and durable structure, and a low maintenance fee. Also, the cleaning water can be reused and saved, and thus it is environmentally friendly. (Fig- 1)
