The invention provides a pipe type air purifying system, which can remove grains of various sizes in an air flow. The system comprises an air inlet, an air outlet and a grain removing unit arranged between the air inlet and the air outlet, wherein the grain removing unit comprises a pipe array with a low dielectric constant. When the air flows through the system, an electrostatic effect can be generated between the air flow and a pipe material, so that the grains in the air flow can be removed. The invention further provides a method for removing the grains in the air flow by the electrostatic effect generated between the air flow and the pipe material.
