The invention provides a tubular air-purification system which can remove particles in various sizes from an air flow. The system comprises an air inlet, an air outlet and a particle-removing unit arranged between the air inlet and the air outlet, wherein the particle-removing unit comprises a pipe array with a low dielectric constant. When the air flows through the system, an electrostatic effect can be generated between the air flow and a pipe material, so that the particles in the air flow can be removed. The invention also provides a method for removing the particles from the air flow by the electrostatic effect generated between the air flow and the material.
