The top edge of a lower facade 5A has sockets 1 into which retractable bolts 2 are fitted. The bottom edge of the facade 5B to be installed has removable angle brackets 6 attached (by bolts 8) to the inner face of the facade. The bolts 2 on the lower facade 5A are adjusted until the upper facade 5B sits level, at which point it is cast into the structural wall of the building. The bolts 2 can then be retracted into their sockets and the angle brackets 6 removed. This procedure ensures that the load of the facade is borne by the building frame and not by the facade below.
