Technology of surface strengthening of machine parts
The technology of surface mechano-pulse treatment of machine
parts, using the energy of high-speed friction has been developed at
Karpenko Physico-Mechanical Institute NASU. It forms in the near-
surface layers of machine parts the nanocrystal structures of high
hardness and wear-resistance with low friction coefficient. This
treatment can be used for strengthening of cylindrical and flat-face
surfaces of steel and cast-iron parts. We can manufacture parts with
application of this technology and implement it at the client’s site. At a
number of plants this technology has been used for strengthening of
unloading lops and discs, bushes, seats and discs of drilling pumps,
conveyor and elevator pins , hydrocylinder rods and other.
– strengthening of cylindrical and flat-face surfaces of steel, and
cast-iron parts;
– improvement of service life of machine parts;
– preservation of high surface quality (used as a finishing
technological operation);
– hardness and wear-resistance of elements increases etc.
– simple realization and no large capital investment is necessary.
– Machine building;
– Oil and gas, extracting industries;
– Metallurgy;
– Communal services;
– Investigations etc.
Introduction of this technology improves the service life of machine
elements in 2-4 times. The technology was industrially verified and
introduced.
