IDEA #5VL25E Renewable Power Potential In The Ukraine Regions

RENEWABLE POWER POTENTIAL IINN THE UKRAINE REGIONS APPLIED RESEARCH • ENERGYAND ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH Description Investment projects efficiency in renewable power depends on forecasting electricity generation of any renewable energy source on a specific territory. On the first stage based on ener(cid:2) gy potential determination of renewable and non(cid:2)traditional energy sources the Energy Atlas was made up for regions of Ukraine. A research development of the Atlas of renewable energy potential in Ukraine on local territorial levels has been sug(cid:2) gested. The Atlas is updated with methodical software which allows effective solving the matters of implementing renew(cid:2) able power equipment in a specific sites and regions. Innovative Aspects and Main Advantages Innovation and advantages of the suggested programs: • Power estimation of each renewable energy sources and defining volumes of replacing conventional fuel with renew(cid:2) able on local territorial levels; • Upgrading mathematical models for defining power poten(cid:2) tial of main renewable sources of energy and volumes of replacing conventional fuels; • Developing methods for defining power potential of main renewable sources of energy and volumes of replacing con(cid:2) ventional fuels; • Improving methods for information and renewable power cartography visualization. Area ooff Application The developed methods and software, as well as cartographic and explanatory information will be implemented and used on the stage of deciding projects on renewable power develop(cid:2) ment feasibility.
