Description
A luminescent composite is obtained by mechanical bias
of polymer powders and binary sulphide compounds
(CdS-ZnS) with a further thermal pressing at fusion
temperature of polymer matrix. The content of the filling
compound in the composite is 10-30 volume percent in
dependence with the designation.
Innovative Aspects and Main Advantages
The proposed method allows obtaining a thin luminescent
composite film.
The composite has a series of advantages:
- improved mechanical properties;
- a possibility of obtaining composites in any sizes;
- a simplicity of the technology;
- a possibility of using the equipments for polymer
processing.
Areas of application
Photoelectronics, optoelectronics, transport, the products
of advertising industry, and others.
Stage of development
The composite was studied and laboratory tested .
